RootData: In May, the cryptocurrency sector completed a total financing of 758 million USD, a year-on-year decrease of 66.2%

ChainCatcher news, according to data from RootData, in May 2023, the cryptocurrency sector completed a total of 94 financing rounds, with a total financing amount of $758 million. The monthly financing amount decreased by 66.2% year-on-year (compared to $2.245 billion in May 2022) and decreased by 6.9% month-on-month (compared to $815 million in April 2023).

It is reported that the largest financing in the cryptocurrency sector in May occurred on May 25, when the cryptocurrency network Worldcoin completed a $115 million Series C financing. This was followed by the network infrastructure solution Auradine which completed $81 million in Series A financing, and the wallet-as-a-service provider Magic which completed $52 million in strategic financing.
