CZ responds to Giggle Academy's sale of donation tokens: Routine exchange for BNB at the end of the month, donations should be used
Binance founder CZ responded on the X platform to the recent controversy regarding Giggle Academy selling donation tokens, stating that he personally "has not communicated with the Giggle team regarding the recent sale," and that the address is not managed by him personally. He pointed out that Giggle Academy has a practice of "exchanging most donation tokens for BNB at the end of each month" to fund free education programs for children worldwide, which have benefited over 1 million children in less than two years.
CZ further stated that when sending or donating tokens to others, if there is no prior agreement, one should not expect the recipient to act according to the donor's wishes (such as destroying the tokens), as "that would only add extra work for the recipient." He emphasized that "if it is called a donation, one should expect them to use it," and questioned, "if one expects them to destroy it, how can it be called a donation?" Additionally, CZ expressed support for all meme coins and revealed that "he may buy or sell one or two (meme coins) in the coming weeks to test some new things."
