Foreign investment net sold Korean stocks in June, setting a record, while the value of holdings rose to an all-time high

According to a report by Jinshi, data released by the Financial Supervisory Service of South Korea on the 31st shows that in June, foreign investors net sold 49.336 trillion won of South Korean listed stocks, marking six consecutive months of net selling. Among them, the main board market saw a net sell of 50.979 trillion won, while the KOSDAQ market had a net buy of 1.643 trillion won. As of June this year, foreign investors have cumulatively net sold 116.3563 trillion won, exceeding last year's total net sell amount by ten times.

Despite the large-scale sell-off, as of the end of last month, the total balance of listed stocks held by foreign investors amounted to 2908.639 trillion won, an increase of 56.3 trillion won from the previous month, accounting for 36.4% of the market value.
