TOP Chinese Technology Innovation Society states that Yan Wentao, a partner at Hillhouse Capital, is expected to join DeepSeek as CFO, with an anticipated start date soon.

DeepSeek has begun preparations for its Sci-Tech Innovation Board IPO, with CITIC Securities currently conducting due diligence, but both parties have not yet signed a formal listing advisory agreement. DeepSeek hopes to initiate the IPO process this year.

Yan Wentao is a post-90s partner at Hillhouse Capital, responsible for technology investments for a long time, with publicly disclosed investment projects including ByteDance, MiniMax, and Zhipu AI. DeepSeek currently does not have a CFO or a formal investor relations team.
