CF Benchmarks launched on-chain pricing services, supporting BlackRock Bitcoin ETF's index data on-chain
According to CoinDesk, CF Benchmarks, an index provider under Kraken's parent company Payward, has launched CFB Oracle, which will introduce pricing benchmarks for BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF and CME Group's cryptocurrency futures into blockchain applications.
The service provides benchmark data for markets including cryptocurrencies, stocks, bonds, commodities, and foreign exchange, supporting developers in building on-chain index funds, tokenized portfolios, and derivatives products.
CF Benchmarks stated that its indices currently serve products representing over $120 billion in assets. CFB Oracle now supports Ethereum, HyperEVM, and Robinhood Chain, with plans to expand to other compatible networks in the future.
Payward also plans to use this service for its upcoming U.S. perpetual contract products, providing pricing data for these products, which are still awaiting regulatory approval. The service will compete with oracle providers such as Chainlink and Pyth.
