Binance Co-CEO: Binance's current financial situation is "very stable."
Binance Co-CEO Richard Teng stated on Tuesday at the Hong Kong FinTech Week event that Binance's current financial situation is "very robust." The platform's hourly inflow and outflow of funds have basically returned to normal, with 95% of the affected tokens having been replenished. The remaining 5% mainly consists of tokens with lower liquidity, and Binance is working with over-the-counter trading service providers to restore the related assets.
Teng indicated that the losses are covered by the User Security Asset Fund (SAFU) and other funds reserved by the company, ensuring the safety of user funds. As of Monday, Binance customers have experienced a cumulative net outflow of approximately $4.72 billion, accounting for about 3% of the platform's assets, most of which is USDT. He stated, "This is a painful lesson, and we take responsibility for it. We will become stronger."
In addition, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) previously identified North Korea as responsible for the incident, while North Korea has denied the related accusations.
