DWF Ventures: The rapid rise of social trading, platform competition is shifting from trade execution to social networks and information advantages

DWF Ventures released a report stating that as trading fees continue to approach zero, social trading is becoming a new direction for financial trading platforms to compete for users and build moats. The rise of social trading stems from users seeking validation from others and references for investment decisions. From early brokerage copy trading to investment communities like Reddit and Stocktwits, and now to platforms that combine real position verification, trading signals, and social relationships, social trading is evolving from a simple copy trading tool into a product form that integrates trading, content, and social interaction. As trade execution becomes increasingly homogenized, the future competitive advantage of platforms may come more from network effects, resources of well-known traders, and exclusive information and distribution capabilities.Analysis suggests that social trading platforms are forming a clear growth flywheel: platforms attract well-known traders and their fans, traders build reputations through public trading, fans amplify market influence by following trades, which in turn increases the visibility of traders and the user base of the platform. Public calls for trades may even generate a certain "self-fulfilling" effect in this process.Platforms also lower the entry barriers for users through one-click trading, low-threshold acceptance, trading competitions, and fee incentives, and leverage the social influence of top traders to facilitate user migration. In the future, the social trading ecosystem in the cryptocurrency and traditional stock sectors may further integrate, and platforms that master trader, user attention, and information flow are expected to form stronger network effects. However, social trading also faces significant structural risks. Data shows that among approximately 292,000 wallets analyzed by the Fomo platform over the past three months, only 6.16% achieved profitability based on realized gains. Followers lack independent investment logic and are easily influenced by herd behavior, while there may also be conflicts of interest between traders and followers.Furthermore, even if platforms can verify public positions, traders may still establish undisclosed positions through other wallets, making information asymmetry difficult to eliminate completely. Analysis suggests that as the boundaries between trading and entertainment continue to blur, platforms that can establish unique information layers, gather quality traders, and form network effects may gain an advantage in the competitive social trading market.

Data: DEXE has dropped 96.8% in 11 days, Ceffu transferred 797,900 DEXE to Binance, possibly related to DWF Labs

According to on-chain analyst Ai Yi's monitoring, DEXE reached an all-time high of $49.432 on July 12, began to decline on July 13, and on July 21, the maximum single-day drop reached 88%, with the price falling from $46.93 to $5.648; within 11 days, the decline reached 96.8%, with the price dropping from $49.423 to $1.56.Ai Yi stated that the large capital flows on-chain are primarily from CEX hot wallets, and no anomalies were found except for Ceffu. The custody platform Ceffu has cumulatively transferred 797,900 DEXE to Binance since July 13, divided into 6 transactions, with a total value of $6.15 million, making it the only entity outside of exchanges to transfer over a million dollars in this token.Ai Yi mentioned that due to the Ceffu MirrorX mechanism, DEXE held in Ceffu will generate a 1:1 mirrored position on the exchange, and on-chain asset transfers will be automatically settled afterward; if this mechanism is used for pre-trading, the 797,900 DEXE would correspond to an actual value of $39.44 million. Ai Yi further stated that public information does not show that the DEXE project party has entrusted the tokens to Ceffu, with most tokens stored in the DAO treasury and team-related lock-up contracts; in the official DEXE partnership list, Falcon has supported DEXE as collateral assets for the platform, and Falcon's asset custody institution includes Ceffu, and Falcon Finance is associated with DWF Labs, which is also on the DEXE partner list. Ai Yi stated that the above conclusions are drawn based on on-chain data and public clues, and does not rule out the possibility of related situations involving the project party or other market makers.

DWF Founder: The crypto market is close to bottoming out, and behind-the-scenes M&A activity is very active

DWF Labs founder Andrei Grachev stated, "I believe the crypto market is now close to the bottom, with Bitcoin prices possibly experiencing around 15% volatility. This does not mean that there can only be upward movement afterwards, but it will drive more funds into the market. Although professional investors are still deploying capital, especially into RWA (real-world assets) and projects with large-scale and bold visions, there is almost no capital inflow from direct market purchases. In my view, making a new project popular and attracting attention is much easier than reviving and promoting old projects. This is also why I believe that most altcoins will rise after this bear market, except for those that truly have real business and business development—these will naturally be driven up by the overall market's future growth.Retail-driven trading volume, or what you might call foolish trading, is currently mainly flowing into PumpFun, with some going to Polymarket, but the world will not change because of this. When the market starts to recover and coin prices begin to rise, these people will follow suit, buying what whales are currently buying, as well as the new tokens I mentioned earlier. Behind the scenes, merger and acquisition activity is very active, with many projects and companies being acquired, some of which are planning to go public with at least some revenue. Because the long-term growth of the crypto industry is not in question, it's just a matter of time; the issue is survival rate."
