Bonk Guy responded to the controversy over buying EMBER: starting to build a position with a market value of about 7 million USD, optimistic about its Launchpad data growth

ChainCatcher crypto trader Bonk Guy posted on the X platform in response to the recent controversy surrounding his purchase of EMBER and explained his investment logic. Bonk Guy stated that he first noticed the project when EMBER's market cap was about 3 million dollars but did not buy in. After observing for a day due to the rapid growth of platform data, he re-evaluated and bought in from a market cap of about 7 million dollars all the way up to a 20 million dollar market cap.Bonk Guy mentioned that EMBER is the main Launchpad based on Meteora, supporting the use of SOL, USDC, and over 150 tokenized stocks as paired assets for issuing tokens, and employs Meteora Dynamic Bonding Curve technology, while also providing features such as token tax distribution, Daily Jackpots, and DAO governance.According to his disclosure, Ember recorded about 51.7 million dollars in trading volume and 561,000 dollars in fees within 3 days of launch, with a total of 2,041 tokens issued, over 41,800 unique wallet addresses, and 149,000 Solana transactions. Bonk Guy compared his purchase of Ember to his previous trade in PONS, stating that he first saw PONS when its market cap was below 1 million dollars, similarly ignoring it for a whole day, and then began buying in at around a 4 million dollar market cap. Rather than whether a popular token has already emerged, it is more important to observe the real usage data underlying the Launchpad.Additionally, Bonk Guy stated that both Robinhood Chain and BNB Chain have multiple successful Launchpads, and that Solana's meme trading ecosystem has developed over a longer period, so there is no reason to believe that Solana can ultimately only accommodate one successful Launchpad. He also mentioned that his trading decisions are not based on market consensus. Some of his past most successful trades often came from identifying opportunities before the market formed a consensus; by the time everyone recognizes it, the asymmetric upside potential is usually significantly reduced.Regarding the recent controversy, Bonk Guy stated that the claim "EMBER has over 50% of Bubblemaps address clusters" has been clarified by Bubblemaps; his previous statement that Ember "was launched by Meteora" is also inaccurate, with a more accurate description being that Ember is based on Meteora's related infrastructure, which is now included in the Meteora ecosystem page. Bonk Guy emphasized that he has no relationship with the Ember team, and EMBER is a personal trade for him.

ZachXBT: Revolut allegedly caused the leakage of information for some high-net-worth users due to mistakenly trusting a forged government request

On-chain detective ZachXBT posted on his personal channel that Revolut allegedly leaked some users' personal identifiable information (PII) due to failing to recognize a forged government agency information request.According to his disclosure, Revolut previously received a request for customer information retrieval that appeared to come from a real government agency and was sent through the agency's official email domain. Because the email had valid domain authentication information, Revolut believed the request was legitimate and responded accordingly. The potentially involved data includes users' names, birth dates, occupations, addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers, as well as copies of passports or driver's licenses, identity verification selfies, account statements, IBANs, withdrawal records, and complete transaction histories, including Bitcoin transaction records. Revolut stated in the notification sent to users that no biometric facial telemetry data was leaked.ZachXBT indicated that the scale of the incident may currently be limited, but it appears to primarily target high-net-worth users. Several Revolut users received notifications regarding the related security incident yesterday. Revolut officials had previously reminded users to verify suspicious information through in-app customer service to avoid providing personal or financial information.

first_img The Economist estimates that AI has created approximately 1 million jobs in the United States

The Economist estimates that AI has created about 1 million new jobs in the United States so far, far exceeding the approximately 200,000 jobs cut due to AI since mid-2023. This conclusion is based on the employment data for August released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics on September 4: the U.S. economy added 162,000 jobs, and the unemployment rate remained at 4.1%. The unemployment rate for young people aged 20-24 is now close to its lowest level in decades compared to the overall unemployment rate.Job growth mainly comes from high-skilled positions directly serving AI and blue-collar jobs driven by data center construction. Since 2022, about 730,000 jobs exceeding the trend line have been added for engineers, software developers, mathematicians, and data scientists. The chief economist at Burning Glass Institute estimates that currently about 1% of professional jobs in the U.S. can be classified as AI jobs, with that proportion reaching 4% to 5% in the fields of computer and life sciences. Spending on data center construction has increased by 60% within a year, leading to a rise in demand for electricians, HVAC technicians, and others. Data from Indeed shows that salaries for data center installation and maintenance jobs are about 40% higher than similar positions.Customer service positions have shrunk by about 10% since January 2023, and administrative assistants have decreased by about 15%. Microsoft and Meta have reduced staff while restructuring their businesses around AI, and companies like Block and Intuit have replaced some manual labor with automation tools. On average, U.S. companies announce about 16,000 layoffs related to AI each month. Economist Noah Smith points out that it is currently difficult to find occupations eliminated by AI in labor data.

first_img Mistral collaborates with Saudi PIF's HUMAIN to jointly build sovereign AI infrastructure

The French open-source weight AI laboratory Mistral and the AI company HUMAIN under the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) announced plans to build "sovereign AI" infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and the broader region. According to a joint announcement from both parties, this collaboration is valued at "hundreds of millions of euros" and aims to meet the growing demand for sovereign AI, where data is not controlled by third-party companies, and models can be owned under open weights. Both parties will jointly develop and localize advanced models and deploy AI solutions within Saudi Arabia and the broader region. Mistral is building its computing power layout through its end-to-end infrastructure division, Mistral Compute. This collaboration will allow it to run workloads on local computing power in Saudi Arabia, rather than relying solely on computing power from Europe and the United States. The two sides also plan to conduct joint marketing in regulated industries in Saudi Arabia. The first deliverables will cover cybersecurity and voice fields, involving inference, open models, and cutting-edge Arabic models in the region.HUMAIN has accumulated over a year of construction. In November 2025, it expanded its cooperation with NVIDIA, planning to deploy up to 600,000 of NVIDIA's latest AI systems, including the GB300 platform, within three years; it also reached a data center agreement with xAI, relying on a facility with over 500 MW, and made an agreement with AWS to manage up to 150,000 GPUs in the Riyadh AI Zone. In the same month, HUMAIN, AMD, and Cisco established a joint venture aimed at building up to 1 GW of AI infrastructure by 2030.
