Bitget, in collaboration with Reality and Keyring, released a research report and plans to launch the first on-chain stock basis trading strategy

Bitget, in collaboration with Reality and Keyring, has released a research report exploring the synergy mechanisms of tokenized stocks, perpetual contracts, and decentralized lending, and evaluating the potential returns and risks of related strategies through simulation calculations. The report points out that the application of tokenized stocks is extending from traditional stock trading to more scenarios such as collateralized lending, asset management, and systematic investment strategies. The research is based on Reality's rToken, combined with stock perpetual contract hedging and on-chain lending mechanisms, to explore stock basis yield strategies. Historical simulation data shows that from December 15, 2025, to October 19, 2026, the annualized net return of the strategy index is approximately 7% and 4% for in-sample and out-of-sample, respectively, with a gross funding cost rate premium of about 11% to 14%. The report also notes that financing costs, transaction execution fees, market liquidity, and risk management are key factors affecting the actual returns of the strategy. It is reported that Bitget and Keyring plan to jointly develop a stock basis index and build an on-chain lending market based on Reality's rToken. Among them, Reality provides exposure to tokenized stock assets, while Keyring is responsible for developing the index methodology and constructing the related lending market. The index aims to capture funding rate and basis yield opportunities by combining rToken holdings with corresponding stock perpetual contract hedging positions, providing new strategic pathways for the application of tokenized stocks in on-chain financial scenarios.

first_img Marc Andreessen: Companies should create habitats for intelligent agents, not confine them in cages

a16z co-founder Marc Andreessen commented on the online programming platform Replit and its CEO Amjad Masad's proposed concept of Agent Habitat, believing that more companies will become autonomous driving companies as a result. He stated that the keyword pointed out by Masad is chaos, and quoted his viewpoint that most agents today operate in chat windows, personal accounts, and one-off scripts, holding credentials and data given to them by others, but no one decides what they can access, nor can anyone see what they have done.Andreessen noted that disruptive technologies like personal computers, spreadsheets, and email entered the workplace in a bottom-up chaotic manner, and only later did they require habitats to moderately constrain that chaos. He cited examples such as early employees bringing personal computers into the office, spreadsheets enabling non-programmers to create business models and forecasts, but also introducing hard-to-audit formula errors; email bypassed the information flow controlled by the mailroom in the past. He believes this kind of chaos indicates that employees are claiming tools that can bring alignment and significant productivity improvements.Andreessen also stated that code is the ultimate product of alignment, and expanding the range of code contributors will bring chaos, thus requiring a free-range style of agent habitat rather than cages, but it cannot be completely laissez-faire. He mentioned that an employee from Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing completed a development process originally planned to take 6 people 6 months in just one week. He indicated that for companies to become autonomous driving companies, they must achieve alignment, and in the future, the degree of alignment may be measured by the richness of the agent habitat; Replit and its clients have already understood this, while most companies have not yet grasped it.

first_img bitcoin++ will hold the Antarctic Cold Storage Conference in January 2028, with only 22 spots available

The Bitcoin Technology Conference Series bitcoin++ has announced the launch of "Antarctica: Cold Storage Edition," scheduled from January 24 to February 5, 2028, with only 22 spots available. This event combines a technology conference with polar exploration, bringing discussions to a colder place in line with Bitcoin's "cold storage" (the practice of keeping private keys offline). Since its launch in Austin in 2022, bitcoin++ has held about 20 events in cities such as Berlin, Buenos Aires, Taipei, and Seoul, each with a specific theme, with the next event scheduled for November 5 to 6, 2026, in Seoul focusing on privacy.Participants will depart from Ushuaia, Argentina, cross the Drake Passage to the Antarctic Peninsula, and return, with a total duration of 13 days and 12 nights. Possible stops include Neko Harbour, Paradise Bay, Port Lockroy, and Lemaire Channel. Activities include kayaking, camping, hiking, snowshoeing, and Zodiac landings, with specific landing points depending on weather, ice conditions, and the expedition team's decisions. The conference will take a non-conference format, allowing participants to propose their own talks, presentations, and discussions, with Starlink available on board and independent rooms for temporary hackathons and workshops.Reservations are currently open, with ticket prices quoted in US dollars: a four-person cabin costs $14,900, and a double cabin costs $16,700, with the option to pay in five equal installments or pay in full at the time of registration; paying in full with Bitcoin offers a 5% discount. The ticket price includes a cold-weather jacket. The final payment must be completed by October 1, 2027, and medical, evacuation, and repatriation insurance must be purchased separately. Sponsors can print their brands on the expedition jackets, with sponsorship amounts ranging from $5,000 to $25,000, each covering approximately 22 jackets. The itinerary covers the Antarctic Peninsula, not the geographic South Pole.
