Gate stock officially launches margin trading features, supporting leveraged trading and long-short dual-direction operations

According to the official announcement, Gate stocks officially launched the margin trading function, supporting margin buying and short selling, expanding leverage and the ability for both long and short trading. Users can borrow USDT to increase their stock buying funds, establishing larger positions with less own capital, improving capital efficiency; they can also borrow eligible stocks for selling, implementing short selling or hedging strategies in a down market. Currently, users can experience the related functions through the Gate web platform, while the app will support this in version v8.43.0 and above.

In terms of functionality, the Gate stock trading page has added a margin trading identifier, displaying information such as the supported direction of the underlying asset, margin requirements for long and short positions, the amount available for margin buying and short selling, as well as the reference interest rate for short selling. Order confirmation, entrustment, and position pages simultaneously display relevant trading conditions. In addition, the stock account supports margin liability management, interest record inquiries, USDT fund transfers, and automatic repayments, making it convenient for users to manage trading positions, borrowing costs, and account funds.

This upgrade further improves the Gate TradFi stock trading system, combining existing stocks, ETFs, stock perpetual contracts, and CFDs, continuously enriching multi-asset trading and risk management tools, promoting deep synergy between traditional finance and digital asset trading services.
