first_img Storage substrate manufacturer TLB launches SOCAMM3 substrate development

Korean storage substrate manufacturer TLB has started the development of the AI server low-power memory module specification SOCAMM3 substrate with two large domestic and foreign storage manufacturers. According to industry news on the 22nd, TLB recently began negotiating design directions and manufacturing processes with two existing storage customers, with specifications yet to be determined. The storage manufacturers plan to complete the design with the substrate manufacturers before finalizing the specifications, with actual substrate mass production expected in 2028.SOCAMM will make the low-power DRAM for mobile devices into a detachable AI server module, which will be first used by NVIDIA in its own AI servers. SOCAMM2 has developed into a JEDEC standard. Currently, each NVIDIA Vera CPU is equipped with 8 SOCAMM2 based on LPDDR5X, with a maximum capacity of 1.5TB per CPU and a bandwidth of 1.2TB per second. The SOCAMM2 substrate requires five layers, and the number of layers for SOCAMM3 will increase, raising the difficulty of processes such as micro-hole processing. The applicable systems have not been disclosed, and the mass production timeline in 2028 coincides with NVIDIA's roadmap. NVIDIA announced in March this year at GTC that it will launch the Feynman GPU and the new CPU Rosa in 2028.TLB's SOCAMM2 substrate has already entered mass production earlier this year, with production volume and sales in the second quarter increasing more than three times compared to the previous quarter. The production time and unit price are both about twice that of existing module substrates. The industry expects TLB's SOCAMM substrate sales to be around 70 billion Korean won this year, and about 140 billion Korean won next year. Brokers estimate the company's overall revenue this year to be about 350 billion to 370 billion Korean won, a year-on-year increase of about 40%, and around 450 billion Korean won next year. The company will begin construction of its second factory next month in the An Phu Industrial Park in Bac Ninh Province, Vietnam, aiming for production in the fourth quarter of next year, but SOCAMM substrates will still only be produced at the headquarters in Ansan in the short term.

first_img Cardano founder is developing a new programming language that integrates transaction intentions with Groth16 proofs

According to CoinDesk, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson stated that he is personally developing a new programming language for the Cardano network and collaborating with Input Output Global engineer Lucas Rosa. Lucas Rosa is a co-creator of Aiken, one of Cardano's main smart contract languages. Hoskinson posted on the X platform that this will be the first programming language to combine user transaction completion intentions with cryptographic proofs. It is reported that the language will support three tools: transaction intent, data with carry proofs, and Groth16 proofs. Transaction intent allows users to specify the goals they want to achieve, while leaving the specific steps to the application, for example, traders can request that a token be exchanged for another only when the final price meets certain conditions, without specifying the exact path.Data with carry proofs can attach cryptographic evidence to information, proving that it complies with specific rules, allowing other applications to verify without recalculating. Groth16 is a widely used proof system that can generate small-sized, fast-verifying proofs, demonstrating that conditions have been met without exposing private data. With the combination of the three, developers can build applications that coordinate transactions, check complex conditions, and pass verified information between services, ultimately verified by Cardano with a small proof. Currently, Cardano developers mainly use Haskell-based Plutus and Aiken to write smart contracts, while Input Output Global, founded by Hoskinson, has its own privacy blockchain Midnight with its language Compact. The name, public code, and release date of this new language have not yet been announced.

R25 Studio launches public testing: Fund establishment compressed from several months to 10 minutes, on-chain asset management enters the programmable era

R25 today announced that its core product R25 Studio, based on the 2 architecture, has officially launched public testing. R25 Studio is dedicated to realizing the vision of "everyone can become an asset manager," fully opening up the capabilities for the establishment, operation, and distribution of institutional-level funds. By abstracting cumbersome legal documents, backend systems, and compliance processes into configurable smart contracts, R25 Studio has successfully compressed the fund establishment cycle from several months to just 10 minutes. The platform revolves around Build, Manage, Earn, and Distribute, covering Vault creation, subscription and redemption, investment management, fee earning, and distribution; asset managers can autonomously set investment parameters, management fees, and performance fee rates on-chain without building complex fund structures from scratch, generate exclusive Vault Tokens/Shares, and list the Vault on channels such as Dapp and Topnod. The platform also provides performance data such as NAV, APY, cumulative returns, and maximum drawdown, helping asset managers monitor strategy performance in real-time.Previously, in Phase 1, Axil launched a private credit Vault on R25 and successfully surpassed $130 million in TVL, validating the reliability of this infrastructure. The registration channel for the first batch of managers is now open.

DyorSwap: The previously identified "GIWA Mainnet" is actually a fake chain built by scammers, and compensation for affected users will be provided through treasury funds

DyorSwap officially announced that the so-called "GIWA Mainnet" identified by the team earlier is actually a fake chain set up by scammers. This fake network used the correct GIWA chain ID (9134), making it appear legitimate during the initial verification phase. The team also identified several suspicious messages and individuals within the related community that may be connected to this incident. The announcement stated that significant losses have occurred due to this fraudulent cross-chain bridge.DyorSwap stated that it is taking three immediate actions: first, contacting a professional security team to conduct further on-chain tracking and investigate the involved addresses, transactions, and fund flows; second, preserving all relevant evidence, including chat records, RPC information, cross-chain bridge addresses, and on-chain transactions; third, preparing to use treasury funds to compensate affected users, with eligibility criteria, loss verification processes, compensation scope, and detailed plans to be announced after the investigation and verification processes are completed.DyorSwap emphasized that until further notice, users should not use any unofficial GIWA mainnet RPCs, cross-chain bridges, or contracts, and should not send funds to any related addresses. The official team deeply apologizes to every affected user in this incident and states that subsequent updates will be released as soon as possible.

Circle Foundation: Exploring stablecoin payments for humanitarian assistance, providing funding to the United Nations Development Programme and the World Food Programme

The Circle Foundation announced two grants to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the World Food Programme (WFP) to explore the application of digital payments and digital financial infrastructure in humanitarian aid and development projects. The Circle Foundation stated that the relevant programs will study how to utilize digital payments and regulated payment-type stablecoins to disburse funds to aid recipients more quickly, transparently, and at a lower cost. For the UNDP, the grant will be used to establish and operate a "Digital Asset Innovation Pool," helping country offices expand previous digital payment pilot projects conducted in Syria, Haiti, Guatemala, and Gambia from single projects to regular project execution, and provide support such as regulation, operations, and beneficiary protection; this mechanism will not replace traditional banking channels but will serve as a complementary option outside the existing payment system. For the WFP, the grant will support the establishment of governance, risk management, funding, reconciliation systems, and compliance tools necessary for stablecoin payments, and integrate local fintech and mobile payment services. Over the next three years, the WFP plans to test 2 to 3 payment channels connecting its payment system with local financial service providers and markets to assess the performance of stablecoin payments in terms of efficiency, transparency, and resilience.
