Forward Industries: Released a white paper on the regulatory framework for crypto vaults, responding to SEC Commissioner Peirce's statement

According to Forward Industries (NASDAQ: $FWDI) in a public letter, the company's General Counsel Georgia Quinn officially responded to SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce's statement on July 22, 2026, titled "Headstands and Summervaults," and proposed a three-tier vault regulatory framework centered on "management freedom" as a core variable:• Type I - Use: Developers provide out-of-the-box software, and users configure parameters themselves without registration;• Type II - Follow: Referencing the SEC's 2013 no-action letter regarding AngelList, Angels set strategies for others to follow, meeting conditions such as co-investment and information disclosure, without needing to register as investment advisors;• Type III - Advised: Involves active management, requiring registration or applicable exemptions, suggesting that the SEC and CFTC jointly regulate to avoid dual compliance conflicts. The article also presents five baseline requirements applicable to all vaults, including conflict of interest disclosure, code public audit, exclusion of disqualified persons, applicability of anti-fraud rules, and state law preemption. The article specifically notes that Peirce's statement did not mention the CFTC, and the inter-agency regulatory issues regarding mixed-asset vaults urgently need to be addressed by the SEC and CFTC.

first_img Brazilian Bank Expands Cryptocurrency Services, Regulatory Framework Takes Shape

Brazilian banks are expanding their cryptocurrency services for customers. According to Folha de S.Paulo, Brazil's largest asset management bank, Itaú, now offers 15 types of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and the US dollar stablecoin USDC, through its investment app. Brazil's largest fintech company, Nubank, has listed 28 types, and Banco do Brasil, the most profitable state-owned bank in Brazil, has seen transaction volumes exceed 11 million reais (approximately 2.1 million USD) since launching direct purchase services for Bitcoin and Ethereum in January of this year. However, customer cryptocurrency transactions have not entered the banks' balance sheets. A document from the central bank dated March 2026 shows that Brazilian banks hold zero virtual assets on their books. Over the past year, Itaú, Bradesco, Santander, Banco do Brasil, and Nubank have all expanded their cryptocurrency product lines, while the Brazilian cryptocurrency market has also reached record sizes. According to data from the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service, Receita Federal, Brazilians transferred 505.5 billion reais (approximately 98.7 billion USD) through cryptocurrencies in 2025, more than five times that of 2020, with corporate transactions accounting for 98.3%.This move by banks coincides with the implementation of regulations. In 2022, Brazil passed the "Virtual Asset Legal Framework," granting regulatory authority to the central bank. Three resolutions issued in November 2025 require any institution allowing customers to trade, hold, or send cryptocurrencies to obtain a license, meet minimum capital requirements, and segregate customer accounts, with a compliance deadline of October 30, 2026.

Arthur Hayes released the FLOP yellow paper, planning to airdrop all tokens

Arthur Hayes released a new project FLOP white paper on social media. FLOP is a proof of useful inference (PoUI) blockchain and native currency aimed at the agent economy, where AI agents can use FLOP to pay miners for inference fees. The network adopts an architecture that combines PoUI with account-based chains, where agents submit session requests to the memory pool containing model weight hashes, maximum latency, computational load, confidentiality flags, and fees. Miners complete the inference and return proofs, which validators incorporate into blocks to complete settlements. The initial supply of FLOP is approximately 2.48346 billion tokens, all allocated for airdrops, with no VC pre-mining or auctions. The first phase of reward distribution allocates 75% to miners, 10% to validators, 10% to agents, and 5% to regular stakers. The average block time for the network is 1 second, with a roadmap goal of sub-second block times. The initial block reward is 96 FLOP, halving every 730 days, for a total of five halvings, after which it will permanently remain at 3 FLOP.The maximum number of validators is capped at 1,000, with approximately 50 rotating monthly based on verified workload and online rates. Miners and validators must stake FLOP, and malicious behavior may face penalties of up to full forfeiture and bans. Governance is conducted through FLOP improvement proposals, requiring a two-thirds approval from active validators in most cases.

hot_img In the first half of the year, cryptocurrency TradFi transactions exceeded $1.3 trillion, with the exchange landscape shifting from a unipolar concentration to a multipolar distribution

According to a research report published by RootData Research, the total trading volume of mainstream cryptocurrency exchanges in the TradFi sector surpassed $1.3 trillion in the first half of 2026, nearly a tenfold increase compared to the entire year of 2025, with TradFi derivatives accounting for over 98%, becoming the core engine driving the explosive growth of the sector. The exchange landscape is shifting from "unipolar concentration" to multipolar competition. Binance, while maintaining a leading position in the TradFi sector with a cumulative share of 68.3%, saw its monthly trading volume share decline from 78.8% at the beginning of the year to 58.2% in August. Meanwhile, second-tier exchanges such as OKX, Gate, and Hyperliquid are rapidly expanding, with market shares of 18.2%, 10.7%, and 9.9% respectively in August. In the core submarket of stock derivatives, entering August, Binance still dominated with an average daily trading volume of $14.927 billion; OKX established an advantage in trading costs with the industry's lowest spread of 0.0091%, achieving a comprehensive score tied for second with Gate. Gate has recently shown independent growth, recording four consecutive months of triple-digit month-on-month growth from May to August, and in mid-August, its ±2% weighted depth ranked first in the industry for 11 consecutive trading days. The competitive logic of the TradFi sector may be shifting from a battle for traffic to a competition across comprehensive dimensions such as position size, market depth, trading costs, and variety coverage.

The project's vision is to connect models with user Agents and extend the A2A economy, providing support for autonomous payment settlement for AI agents and creating a core settlement layer for the AI Agent ecosystem.

first_img Uniswap founder: Tokenization will reshape the market-making landscape, and AMM is still in its early stages

Uniswap founder Hayden Adams stated that after nine years of DeFi practice, the path for AMM to become the core engine of the global financial market is becoming increasingly clear. He pointed out that tokenization is not only an infrastructure upgrade but also changes who provides liquidity and what is traded in the market. The SEC has approved Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange to trade tokenized stocks, and the DTCC also conducted live testing of tokenized trading in July.Adams believes that traditional market makers vertically integrate capital, strategy, execution, settlement, and distribution, which is costly; blockchain disassembles these components, making capital a scarce input. Liquidity providers who already hold relevant assets or are the issuers themselves can bear inventory exposure at zero cost, thereby weakening professional market makers with lower capital costs. An on-chain "related asset pair" model has naturally formed (such as the Ethereum ecosystem pairing with ETH and stablecoins), as correlation reduces inventory risk and deepens liquidity. He cited that there are already 10 tokenized stocks on the Robinhood Chain forming a Uniswap pool with SPY, which has traded approximately $33 million in 12 days, with some trades occurring directly between stocks without touching the dollar. Adams also stated that although Uniswap's cumulative trading volume has reached about $4.6 trillion, AMM is still in its early stages, and there is significant room for improvement in subsequent design and ecosystem.
