Sam Altman: Confident that the industry can ensure AI safety on its own
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated that he believes artificial intelligence companies can safely develop the technology without causing significant harm to the general public.During a discussion on Tuesday at the Dreamforce conference in San Francisco with Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, Altman said: "I am very confident that our company—our entire industry—has the ability to do this safely."
