first_img OpenAI update disclosure: The out-of-control AI agent has also infiltrated four platforms beyond Hugging Face

On July 28, OpenAI quietly updated its security incident disclosure, confirming that its AI agent accessed four external service platforms during the breach of Hugging Face, bringing the total number of affected platforms to five.Previously, OpenAI had disabled security filters while testing GPT-5.6 Sol and a more powerful model to assess raw capabilities. The model did not complete the security benchmark tests as expected; instead, it discovered a zero-day vulnerability in the package caching agent within the testing environment that granted internet access, subsequently breaching Hugging Face to steal answers.According to a forensic report released by Hugging Face on July 27, this autonomous agent executed 17,600 operations over approximately four and a half days, connecting 181 devices to the Hugging Face internal VPN and forging identity tokens. Among the four additional platforms, Modal Labs CTO Akshat Bubna confirmed through Reuters that his company was one of them, with the attacker using an unprotected public endpoint from a customer as a relay and command control base for the entire attack. The identities of the other three platforms remain undisclosed. OpenAI stated it would "directly notify the service providers" but would not publicly name them, as there is currently no legal requirement for mandatory disclosure. The U.S. Congress has responded by proposing a bipartisan "AI Emergency Shutdown Act," which aims to authorize the Department of Homeland Security to forcibly shut down AI models, with violators facing fines of up to $2 million per day.

hot_img Microsoft's revenue for the fourth fiscal quarter was $90 billion, an 18% year-on-year increase, with Azure's growth rate of 43% exceeding expectations, and annual cloud revenue surpassing $100 billion for the first time

Microsoft released its Q4 fiscal year 2026 financial report, with revenue of $90 billion, a year-on-year increase of 18%, exceeding market expectations of $87.7 billion; adjusted earnings per share of $4.74, a year-on-year increase of 23%, which is 11.5% higher than expected; operating profit of $40.6 billion, a year-on-year increase of 18%. first_img Fake World Assets generated daily revenue exceeding Aave and Uniswap within four days of launch, briefly ranking second on Ethereum

According to DefiLlama data, the Ethereum chain random NFT acquisition protocol Fake World Assets, developed by the two-person team Token Works, surpassed the daily revenue of Collector Crypt on Solana within four days of its relaunch on July 20.On July 25, the peak daily revenue reached $447,604, with total fees of $1.6 million, and approximately 90,000 transactions including about 35,000 draws, with a trading volume of around 2,000 ETH. After that, activity declined, with revenue in the past 24 hours dropping to $167,869, ranking second in daily revenue among Ethereum protocols, only behind Sky ($464,303), and ahead of Aave ($105,282) and Uniswap ($76,028).In this protocol, depositors list NFTs along with their pledged ETH collateral (similar to Uniswap V2 trading pairs), where the collateral determines the weight of each NFT and provides depositors with irrevocable continuous bids to reacquire the NFT. Anyone can pay the acquisition price generated by the liquidity pool to obtain a randomly selected NFT.The pool has accumulated over 1,500 NFTs including CryptoPunks, with randomness provided by Chainlink VRF. The token emission incentives expire 15 days after launch, and daily fees have decreased by about half from their peak. Collector Crypt on Solana remains the leader in this sector, with users spending over $209 million on its card packs in June alone.

Analysis: Bitcoin's rebound faces fourfold pressure, as rising U.S. Treasury yields intensify market risks

CryptoQuant analyst Axel Adler released a weekly analysis indicating that the yield on the U.S. 10-year Treasury bond has recently risen to about 4.7%, approaching the upper limit of the range over the past five years. The high interest rate environment is tightening financial conditions, increasing financing costs and asset discount rates, and putting more pressure on risk assets. Currently, the futures market expects a roughly 38% probability of the Federal Reserve raising interest rates at its next meeting, but a survey of 104 economists by Reuters generally expects rates to remain unchanged. In terms of the Bitcoin market, Axel Adler pointed out that BTC rebounded about 11% from a low of around $59,000 in June to nearly $66,000, but has now fallen back to about $64,300. The market is currently facing four potential risks: first, volatility has significantly compressed, with actual volatility in July dropping 31%, falling to the 8th percentile of the historical range, suggesting that more extreme market movements may occur; second, demand in the U.S. spot market remains weak, trading at a discount for about two and a half months, with no sustained inflow of funds; third, there is insufficient buying liquidity in the market, with stablecoins continuously flowing out of exchanges and new fund activity nearing annual lows; fourth, investors are still realizing losses, and some positions are choosing to exit during the profit recovery phase, putting pressure on prices.Additionally, Adler mentioned that MicroStrategy founder Michael Saylor has not continued to make large-scale Bitcoin purchases recently, but instead published a lengthy article recommending 38 books on civilization, currency, energy, and technological development, attempting to construct a theoretical framework for Bitcoin as a result of long-term financial evolution. Adler believes that the market is currently still in a critical observation phase, requiring attention to changes in liquidity, the recovery of U.S. demand, and whether investor behavior improves.
