first_img CXMT has launched the equipment bidding for the new factory in Shanghai and is planning to expand production in multiple locations

China's largest DRAM manufacturer Changxin Storage (CXMT) has recently launched a bidding for equipment from partners for its new factory in Shanghai and is advancing capacity expansion in multiple locations. CXMT is currently mass-producing DRAM in Hefei Phase II and Beijing Phase I, with an estimated capacity of about 200,000 wafers per month, which may exceed 300,000 wafers per month by the end of the year.CXMT plans to open the new factory in Shanghai in the fourth quarter of this year, and the related equipment bidding has already started. Semiconductor equipment industry insiders say that the factory is planned to be expanded in two phases, with capacity significantly exceeding 100,000 wafers per month. Subsequently, there are plans to open a new factory in Hefei in the first half of next year and the earliest new factory in Beijing in the second half of next year, with another new factory in Hefei opening in the first half of the year after next.Equipment industry insiders say that CXMT has communicated with multiple parties regarding the timing of building factories in various locations. If all plans are realized, CXMT could add at least 70,000 to 80,000 wafers of capacity per month each year from this year until 2028, with a long-term goal of exceeding 600,000 wafers per month. Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix's DRAM capacities are estimated at about 700,000 wafers and 600,000 wafers per month, respectively.

first_img OKX launched perpetual contracts for OpenAI and Anthropic's Pre-IPO in Europe

Cryptocurrency exchange OKX announced the launch of Pre-IPO perpetual contracts related to OpenAI and Anthropic in Europe. Eligible traders can go long or short on the valuations of the two AI companies with up to 10 times leverage, but will not receive actual shares of the two companies. This product bets on the valuation changes of the two companies before their IPOs, providing a new speculative avenue for retail investors who find it difficult to directly buy shares of private companies.OKX is not the first platform to launch such products. Hyperliquid has offered markets related to OpenAI and Anthropic through HIP-3, and Binance also provides Pre-IPO perpetual contracts for the two companies. OKX stated that such products are not substitutes for the shares themselves but can meet the ongoing market demand for exposure to large tech companies that have not been publicly listed for a long time.Meanwhile, OKX has also launched 100 tokenized stocks and ETFs, including Nvidia, Alphabet, Palantir, as well as SPY and QQQ, allowing European traders to trade traditional markets around the clock. These tokens track the prices of the underlying securities but do not grant holders actual shares or voting rights, and some tokens can be withdrawn to self-custody wallets. OKX Europe CEO Erald Ghoos stated that the demand for its derivatives business continues to grow, with trading volume for X-Perps in the European market quadrupling since the transition period of MiCA ended in July.

first_img Uniswap launched StablePair Hook, a dynamic fee rate to help LP capture the value of stablecoin transactions

According to The Block, Uniswap Labs announced the launch of a new tool, StablePair Hook, designed specifically for stablecoin trading pairs such as USDC/USDT and USDC/USDG.Uniswap Labs stated that StablePair Hook can provide traders with consistent and predictable quotes, allowing liquidity providers to retain more of the value they create. Data shows that in the second quarter, the trading volume of exchanges between stablecoins on Uniswap reached $43.4 billion, surpassing the total of the other three major on-chain trading venues.StablePair Hook replaces fixed rates with dynamic rates, which adjust based on the degree of price deviation from the reference price within the pool. When the price is close to the reference price, the Hook adjusts the transaction fee for each trade to maintain a fixed bid-ask spread; when the price deviates from the reference range, trades that push the price away incur no fees, while trades that pull the price back to the reference price use a Dutch auction mechanism, with fees decreasing block by block from high to low until accepted by the trader. Uniswap Labs stated that this allows liquidity providers to retain more value from price returns. The first batch of StablePair Hook pools will go live on Ethereum, supporting USDC/USDG and USDC/USDT trading pairs. This Hook can be upgraded through Uniswap governance, and the fee system and other parameters can be adjusted without migrating liquidity.
