Xiaohongshu fully acquired the AI travel tool Yuan Zhou Lu Ji

Xiaohongshu fully acquired the AI travel tool Circumference Travel's affiliated company. The latest business information shows that Xiaohongshu Technology Co., Ltd. has become the sole shareholder of Chaochao Shishi Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., with former shareholder Zheng Yifan exiting. Circumference Travel provides a "one-click homework copying" feature, allowing users to paste links of notes from Xiaohongshu and public account travel guides, after which the AI can extract attractions and restaurants, generate a map route, estimate transportation time, and support collaborative itinerary modifications with friends. QuestMobile data shows that in February this year, its monthly active users reached approximately 2.49 million, a year-on-year increase of 384.7%, ranking among the top ten travel service apps, with users aged 25 to 35 accounting for 72.1%.By the end of 2025, the Circumference Travel team had stated that they would not engage in flight and hotel bookings. In September of this year, the app added features for AI querying flight, hotel, and ticket prices, allowing users to directly jump to partner platforms for booking after reviewing their itinerary, and check order status within the app. Last year, Xiaohongshu also acquired the development entity of its AI search product Diandian. Diandian is used to help users find destinations and filter activities, while Circumference Travel can organize promotional notes into executable itineraries and guide users to make bookings.

first_img Avail launches the Hyperliquid privacy tool ShieldTX

According to The Block, the modular data availability layer Avail has announced the launch of the privacy perpetual contract trading platform ShieldTX, aimed at helping large traders cut off the public data chain and avoid being tracked by Order Tracking bots on Hyperliquid. ShieldTX is built on Avail's infrastructure, allowing users to deposit USDC from major EVM chains through Nexus and generate a brand new shielded wallet when opening a position, with orders directly routed to Hyperliquid's native order book. When users close their positions, funds will return to their shielded balance. Observers can see the deposits but cannot associate subsequent trading activities with the source wallet of the funds. Avail states that Order Tracking bots can replicate trades within seconds based on public data, and their subsequent trading volume can drive up prices, which is unfavorable for large orders. According to its analysis, ShieldTX can save 15 to 25 basis points per trade by breaking the public data chain, which significantly compounds savings for high-frequency large traders.ShieldTX also launched a wallet scanner that displays the public data relied upon by Order Tracking bots and reveals how trades are affected. Users can scan wallets to see who is copying their trades. In terms of underlying architecture, ShieldTX operates on a zkAppchain called Nightshade, where users deposit USDC into an Arbitrum settlement contract and receive equivalent receipts within Nightshade. However, currently, receipt management is handled by the sorter, which can see the receipt pre-images and user states; the positions on Hyperliquid remain publicly visible, and designated solvers are also aware of the position addresses they need to fund.

first_img Amazon launched the open-source tool TorchNeuron, lowering the threshold for transitioning to self-developed chips

Financial Associated Press, October 20 - Amazon launched the open-source tool TorchNeuron on the 19th local time, aiming to lower the barrier for developers to transition from NVIDIA chips to its self-developed chips, challenging NVIDIA's software barrier built on CUDA. According to reports, this tool allows AI code written in PyTorch to run on Amazon's self-developed AI chips without the need for rewriting. PyTorch is maintained primarily by Meta and is described as an open-source framework used by most AI developers.Amazon's chip design department, Annapurna Labs, introduced that with TorchNeuron, developers only need to modify one configuration to run the same code on the self-developed Trainium chip. Amazon announced the launch of this tool on the 19th local time and plans to publicly release it in a free open-source format at the PyTorch conference in San Jose, California on the 20th.Colin Brace, Vice President of Software at Annapurna Labs, stated in an interview that the launch of TorchNeuron is intended to reduce the steps required for developers to try Amazon's self-developed chips, starting from the customers' existing workflows. He revealed that over 30 early customers are already using it, covering fields such as robotics, world models, and voice AI, and mentioned that switching to Amazon chips can save costs.

first_img Open source AI reverse engineering tool REA surpasses 100,000 stars on GitHub in one week

The free and open-source tool REA (Reverse Engineer Anything) saw its star count on GitHub rise from less than 10,000 on October 6 to over 100,000 by October 12, with more than 30,000 added in a single day on October 11. This tool integrates AI programming assistants like Claude Code and OpenAI Codex with professional reverse engineering suites like Ghidra, bridging the model context protocol MCP launched by Anthropic. Since its creation in April of this year, REA had long gone unnoticed; its readme file states that the tool does not claim to restore original source code or automatically clone applications, nor does it come with a decompiler.REA has been used for various reverse engineering attempts on software and games: players have made Spider-Man swing through Gotham City in "Batman: Arkham City," someone stuffed about 1,600 items from "Minecraft" into "Elden Ring" to battle Boss Malenia, and mod authors have brought firearms and menus from "Escape from Tarkov" into "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim." Old console exclusives are also breaking free from their platforms; in September, enthusiasts used open-source AI models and recompilation tools to bring "Fable 2," which had never been released on PC, to Windows, with AI completing the startup in about an hour, followed by a long manual fix; another developer has made "GTA 5" run natively and smoothly on iOS.
