dex

Decentralized exchanges (DEX) are trading platforms based on blockchain technology that allow users to trade cryptocurrencies directly on-chain without the need for centralized intermediaries. DEX automatically matches trades through smart contracts, providing higher privacy and security while reducing counterparty risk. Its decentralized nature makes it less susceptible to single points of failure and regulatory intervention, but it also faces challenges such as insufficient liquidity and poor user experience.

A-share closing review: The ChiNext Index fell over 3%, with more than 4,900 stocks declining

According to reports from the Financial Associated Press, the three major indices of A-shares quickly fell back in the afternoon, with the ChiNext Index dropping over 3%, after previously rising more than 1%. The trading volume in the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets was 1.46 trillion yuan, a decrease of 147.8 billion yuan compared to the previous trading day, with over 4,900 stocks in the entire market declining. On the market, in the robotics sector, Duolun Technology, Saifutian, and Xiangyang Bearing achieved four consecutive trading limits, while Guangyang Co. achieved two consecutive trading limits, and Dayang Motor reached its daily limit. In the consumer sector, food and beverage and retail led the gains, with Guifaxiang, Sunshine Dairy, and Qingdao Food achieving two consecutive trading limits, and Maoye Commercial and Guangbai Co. reaching their daily limits. The banking sector strengthened during the day, with Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank rising over 4%, reaching a new high for the year, while China Construction Bank and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China set new historical highs. On the downside, the pharmaceutical sector weakened, with Lingkang Pharmaceutical and Wanze Co. hitting their daily limits, and stocks like Nearshore Protein and Shiyao Innovation experiencing significant declines. The edge-side AI concept saw fluctuations and adjustments, with Yidao Information hitting its daily limit, and companies like Xingchen Technology and Yiwei Communication also falling. By the close, the Shanghai Composite Index fell by 1.33%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell by 2.5%, and the ChiNext Index fell by 3.41%.

OpenAI announced the model breakthrough index time hypothesis

OpenAI recently announced that its AI model has cracked the Exponential Time Hypothesis, abbreviated as ETH, which has been a longstanding conjecture in computer science for over twenty years, and is not related to Ethereum. This hypothesis focuses on how difficult particularly hard problems are, using the Boolean Satisfiability Problem (SAT) as an example: given a set of logical conditions, is there an assignment that makes all conditions true simultaneously? As the problem size increases, the best-known methods essentially can only try possible answers one by one, with the time cost growing exponentially with the size. The Exponential Time Hypothesis further asserts that such problems cannot be significantly accelerated, and there are no truly sub-exponential time efficient algorithms.Since its proposal in 1999, this hypothesis has been a crucial cornerstone of theoretical computer science, with numerous papers proving that certain problems are hard and that some algorithms are close to optimal based on it. If the Exponential Time Hypothesis were to be overturned, it would imply that many problems considered nearly impossible to solve faster might theoretically have better solutions. OpenAI claims that its model has found a deterministic algorithm that can accurately count the number of solutions to the k-SAT problem in sub-exponential time, and it has been formally verified using Lean. If this result withstands expert scrutiny, it will directly challenge the Exponential Time Hypothesis.
