first_img Uniswap launched StablePair Hook, a dynamic fee rate to help LP capture the value of stablecoin transactions

According to The Block, Uniswap Labs announced the launch of a new tool, StablePair Hook, designed specifically for stablecoin trading pairs such as USDC/USDT and USDC/USDG.Uniswap Labs stated that StablePair Hook can provide traders with consistent and predictable quotes, allowing liquidity providers to retain more of the value they create. Data shows that in the second quarter, the trading volume of exchanges between stablecoins on Uniswap reached $43.4 billion, surpassing the total of the other three major on-chain trading venues.StablePair Hook replaces fixed rates with dynamic rates, which adjust based on the degree of price deviation from the reference price within the pool. When the price is close to the reference price, the Hook adjusts the transaction fee for each trade to maintain a fixed bid-ask spread; when the price deviates from the reference range, trades that push the price away incur no fees, while trades that pull the price back to the reference price use a Dutch auction mechanism, with fees decreasing block by block from high to low until accepted by the trader. Uniswap Labs stated that this allows liquidity providers to retain more value from price returns. The first batch of StablePair Hook pools will go live on Ethereum, supporting USDC/USDG and USDC/USDT trading pairs. This Hook can be upgraded through Uniswap governance, and the fee system and other parameters can be adjusted without migrating liquidity.

Circle launched the CCTP rapid transfer prepayment fee model

According to official news, the Circle Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) now supports a fast transfer prepayment fee feature. Previously, the protocol fee would be directly deducted from the USDC transfer amount on the target chain; with this update, developers can pre-quote and collect fees using the native Gas token or USDC from the source chain before executing the transfer, thereby simplifying the fee handling for cross-chain transfers and ensuring that users receive the expected amount of USDC.It is reported that the prepayment fee mechanism mainly improves the predictability of fees in cross-chain applications. Users do not have to bear the reduction in the actual amount received due to additional deductions on the target chain; at the same time, the CCTP Quote API can uniformly calculate fees for different supported chains and integrate Fast Transfer and Forwarding fees into a single quote, so developers do not need to build systems to separately calculate multiple protocol fees. In addition, fees can be paid directly using the native token of the source chain, which will not reduce or affect the actual transferred USDC balance.Currently, the prepayment fee feature supports USDC transfers on all EVM chains covered by CCTP, but it does not support transfers initiated from Solana; transfers to Solana are still supported. Developers can obtain specific fee quotes through the Quote API and integrate this feature, and relevant developers can refer to the CCTP official documentation to build a more predictable cross-chain USDC transfer process.

first_img Robinhood Chain's daily gas fees surged 82 times in 11 days, surpassing all other chains

According to DeFiLlama data, the daily Gas fees of Robinhood's Ethereum Layer 2 network, Robinhood Chain, surged approximately 82 times within 11 days, surpassing all other blockchain networks to become the chain with the highest daily Gas fees. This network is built on the Arbitrum Orbit technology stack and has been live for only about two months.Data shows that the average daily Gas fees of Robinhood Chain climbed from about $56,000 on August 23 to approximately $3.75 million on September 1, continuously breaking historical records for several days. The fee surge is primarily driven by speculative trading of Meme coins, with the weekly trading volume on the on-chain DEX exceeding $1 billion at one point, where the token issuance platform Pons contributed the majority of the trading volume. As of September 1, the average transaction fee on this chain rose to $0.33, while Base was only about $0.0026 and Solana was about $0.013 during the same period. The high fees have also brought considerable revenue to Robinhood Chain. According to the protocol agreement, 10% of its net revenue must be allocated to the Arbitrum ecosystem, with 80% going to the Arbitrum DAO and 20% to the developer fund; in comparison, Arbitrum One's Gas fees on the same day were less than $15,000. The official Robinhood wallet still offers Gas subsidies for eligible transactions, which will continue until September 29.
