NVIDIA releases quantum computing AI calibration model, promoting the fusion of AI and quantum

NVIDIA released the open-source AI model NVIDIA Ising Calibration 1.5, designed for the automatic analysis of quantum processor (QPU) diagnostic data, and to autonomously determine device calibration schemes, achieving automation of the quantum computer calibration process. NVIDIA stated that Ising Calibration 1.5 is a visual language model (VLM) specifically designed for quantum computing calibration scenarios, capable of understanding experimental data from quantum chips and performing "zero-shot" analysis in the absence of historical cases, while also enabling context learning (ICL) with relevant experimental samples to help continuously optimize the operational state of quantum devices.In the QCalEval quantum calibration benchmark test, Ising Calibration 1.5 averaged about 10% ahead of similarly sized open-source models in zero-shot inference capability, and when using relevant experimental cases for context learning, it showed an approximately 86.5% performance improvement over the previous generation model, surpassing multiple open-source models and approaching the level of top closed-source large models. The model has 31 billion parameters and supports operation on NVIDIA Grace Blackwell and Vera Rubin data center GPUs. It also launched an NVFP4 quantized version, which can be deployed on a single consumer-grade GPU or NVIDIA DGX Spark, significantly lowering the usage threshold for quantum laboratories.NVIDIA claims that the training data for Ising Calibration 1.5 comes from various qubit architectures, including superconducting qubits, quantum dots, ions, neutral atoms, and helium surface electrons, providing calibration capabilities for different types of quantum computing devices. Industry experts believe that automated calibration is one of the key bottlenecks in the scalable development of quantum computing. Vitalik Buterin published an article titled "Obfuscation: building the final boss of cryptography (Part I)", systematically outlining the entire technical tree behind the mainline of the obfuscation protocol (iO). The article points out that obfuscation technology can transform programs into "encrypted programs", allowing computations on plaintext inputs while hiding internal logic. Theoretically, it can achieve "trustless trusted third parties", and when combined with blockchain, it can build nearly trustless voting systems, auction protocols, and various other applications. However, the current iO scheme, while technically polynomial time, incurs enormous practical overhead, with expected runtimes exceeding the lifespan of the universe.The article details the construction process of lattice-based iO, covering the stacking of primitives such as fully homomorphic encryption (FHE), attribute-based encryption (ABE), obfuscated circuits, function encryption, and XiO. Vitalik stated that the field has moved from "impossible" to "provably secure" over the past decade, but there remains a significant gap to practical application. He proposed three future paths: further optimizing the existing lattice-based route, adopting bolder cryptographic assumptions to simplify constructions, or exploring entirely new assumptions that are completely different from lattices, emphasizing that if any direction succeeds, it will largely "solve cryptography", enabling any protocol describable by an ideal trusted third party to be securely implemented.

YZi Labs: CEA Industries betrays shareholders, hinders reform, and falls into strategic confusion

According to official news, YZi Labs Management Ltd. is currently reviewing the recent actions taken by BNC (CEA Industries) regarding the formation of a shareholder group and the initiation of a proxy solicitation process. These actions, which harm shareholder interests, include the "poison pill plan" and amendments to the bylaws aimed at obstructing and delaying shareholders from exercising their rights through written consent. YZi believes that the substantive effect of these actions is to impose unnecessary restrictions and procedural burdens beyond what is required by Nevada law.The company's board of directors ("Board") appears to be taking these steps to consolidate its position—even after YZi warned that further erosion of shareholder rights would provoke strong dissatisfaction among shareholders. YZi has reminded the Board that its failure to properly fulfill its fiduciary duties may expose it to potential legal risks. Nevertheless, the Board has chosen to restrict shareholder rights rather than acknowledge its mistakes, indicating that they are aware of their lack of shareholder support. Many other shareholders have confirmed to us that they share the same concerns and shock as YZi regarding BNC's unwise strategic shift and abandonment of the BNB ecosystem.Furthermore, YZi refutes the company's false statement that it "has never considered adopting alternative tokens for the company's digital asset reserve strategy, nor has it initiated a competitive digital asset reserve business." This denial contradicts the remarks made by BNC CEO David Namdar at the industry conference in November 2025, where he explicitly stated that BNC had considered shifting to other crypto assets like Solana. Coupled with Mr. Namdar and Board member Hans Thomas actively promoting and fundraising for other digital asset reserve projects during their tenure at BNC, YZi believes shareholders have reason to be concerned about their interests being betrayed.
