The giant whale "sets 10 major goals": BTC is expected to fluctuate upwards this round, possibly rising to $100,000 by March next year

The whale "Set 10 Big Goals First" posted on the X platform, stating that it has opened a short position again at $76,000. The logic is quite simple: "When I established a long position around $63,000, the target was originally $74,000. I believe the bull market has returned, and this judgment has not changed until now. However, I have always believed that this round should be a volatile upward trend. At least currently, from a macro and market structure perspective, I have not seen enough signals to support this trend."Currently, most of the short positions have been reduced. "Not because I have changed my judgment, but to control risk first. If there is a continued extreme upward pull here, $82,000 and $84,000 are both possible, so there is no need to take a full position to bet that my judgment is definitely correct. If the daily line effectively closes above $80,500, then I will admit my mistake on this trade, close everything, and take a break for a while. If it ultimately cannot hold here and weakens again, I will consider adding back the reduced short positions."The whale "Set 10 Big Goals First" reiterates its medium-term view as follows: "In the medium to long term, I still hold a bullish view on BTC, but being bullish in the medium to long term does not conflict with shorting locally. I am taking this short position to profit from the pullback during the upward process, not to view it as a bear market again. If I am wrong, I will admit my mistake above $80,500. I still believe that we will see $100,000 BTC by March next year."

Bloomberg: Bitcoin briefly breaks through $70,000, triggering an epic short squeeze, as the crypto market sees its biggest rebound since March

On August 20, the Bitcoin market suddenly rebounded, with prices rising nearly 8% at one point, briefly breaking through $70,000, reaching a new high since early June, and triggering the largest short liquidation wave since 2021. Over $1 billion in Bitcoin short positions were liquidated within about an hour, as months of bearish trades concentrated on closing positions, driving a rapid rebound in BTC. Analysts pointed out that this increase reflects an overly crowded short position in the market, and as prices turned upward, forced buying to cover further amplified the rally. This rebound was driven by multiple factors. U.S. President Trump met with executives from crypto companies such as Coinbase, Kraken, and Blockchain.com at the White House, and the market expects the U.S. government to continue promoting a more friendly regulatory framework for digital assets. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) proposed new rules for crypto asset issuance this week, intending to exempt certain digital asset issuance from registration requirements. On the macro front, the U.S. Treasury announced an expansion of long-term Treasury bond repurchase operations, at least doubling the scale of repurchase operations for 10 to 30-year Treasury bonds to enhance market liquidity and alleviate pressure on long-term U.S. Treasury yields, further boosting sentiment for risk assets. The rebound spread throughout the entire crypto market, with Ethereum rising 19% at one point, marking the largest single-day increase since March. Crypto-related stocks also surged, with Coinbase rising about 10%, Bitcoin reserve company Strategy increasing about 13%, and stablecoin issuer Circle rising nearly 10%. Analysts stated that Bitcoin's next key step lies in whether it can convert this short squeeze into real buying pressure and break through the resistance area above $70,000.

The giant whale "sets 10 major goals": Bitcoin may challenge $100,000 again around March next year

The "Whale" stated in its post "Set 10 Major Goals" that after closing short positions, it quickly re-established long positions because its long-term bullish view on Bitcoin has not changed. It believes that the important boundary of the last bull market was around $60,000, and the current mainstream mining cost of Bitcoin is concentrated between $50,000 and $60,000; after Bitcoin dipped to $58,000 last month, it quickly recovered, further validating the support capacity of that area.In the past month, Bitcoin has fully oscillated and exchanged hands in the range of $58,000 to $63,000, and after a pullback, it has re-stabilized around $66,000. In the absence of systemic risks or significant fundamental changes, the risk-reward ratio of continuing to short at the current position is not high, and the market may see a surge and break through $72,000; if the market structure does not change significantly, Bitcoin has a high probability of challenging $100,000 again around March next year. Currently, U.S. stocks, especially in the artificial intelligence sector, are overall valued at relatively high levels, and future volatility may significantly increase. The correlation between Bitcoin and U.S. stocks has significantly decreased compared to previous cycles, and Bitcoin is gradually emerging as an independent market. It has set a trading invalidation range for the current position; if the market falls back to $61,500 to $64,000, and the trend proves the judgment to be incorrect, it will immediately close positions to control losses. It emphasizes: "Views can change, but discipline cannot change." In addition, the latest publicly available data shows that the "Whale" has set its Binance contract real account "Jason leo133" position to private status.
