Japan Bitcoin Industry Company secures $5.07 million in physical BTC funding, Robinhood's Q3 crypto revenue significantly declines

According to BBX data, the global capital markets revealed the latest developments in direct investment in Bitcoin and the performance of brokerage digital asset businesses yesterday. The core information is as follows:Japan Bitcoin Industry has completed a capital increase of 840 million yen, fully paid in physical Bitcoin: The Web3 infrastructure developer Japan Bitcoin Industry announced the implementation of a third-party share allocation capital increase, successfully issuing shares to two institutions, Fulgur LLC and ANAP Lightning Capital (ALC), raising a total of 840 million yen (approximately 5.07 million USD). Notably, this capital increase will be fully funded in physical Bitcoin, with on-chain delivery expected to be completed on November 2. At the same time, the company signed a basic agreement for cooperation in Lightning Network routing business with ALC, which will use the Bitcoin held by ALC as the underlying liquidity for the company's operational channels. The raised funds will be specifically used for the research and development of the infrastructure "aurora" (supporting enterprises to access Lightning payments via API), talent recruitment, and local routing network infrastructure.Robinhood (NASDAQ: $HOOD) Q3 crypto revenue plummets 55%, causing overall profits to fall short of expectations: American internet brokerage giant Robinhood released its third-quarter financial report. The data shows that due to a slowdown in cryptocurrency trading activity and increased operating expenses, overshadowing its strong performance in options and prediction markets, the quarterly profits fell below Wall Street expectations. In the third quarter, its cryptocurrency trading revenue decreased significantly by 55% year-on-year to 120 million USD. Although options trading revenue grew by 31% and event contract revenue surged more than sixfold, driving overall trading revenue up 19% year-on-year to 867 million USD, total operating expenses also increased by 16% year-on-year to 739 million USD. The company's earnings per share for the quarter were 0.51 USD, falling short of analysts' expectations of 0.55 USD, leading to a drop of over 7% in its stock price in after-hours trading.

The cryptocurrency industry has invested approximately $176 million to support allies in the U.S. midterm elections, laying the groundwork for the post-Trump era

The cryptocurrency industry has spent approximately $176 million in this round of the U.S. midterm election cycle, covering over 100 elections, aiming to establish a bipartisan network of congressional allies to continue advancing legislative demands after Trump's departure. As of October 20, the super political action committee Fairshake and its affiliated organizations have spent about $150.8 million, with other cryptocurrency organizations spending around $25 million, major funders including Coinbase, Ripple, and a16z.Fairshake claims that among the 58 candidates it supported in primaries or special elections this year, 53 won. The organization supported bipartisan candidates in the House elections; after Senate Democrats blocked the CLARITY Act from reaching a final vote, it decided to support only Republican candidates in the Senate elections. The industry's spending in the Ohio Senate election has exceeded $68 million, focusing on long-time critic of the cryptocurrency industry Sherrod Brown, with related advertisements mostly avoiding mentioning cryptocurrencies and instead focusing on issues like taxes. Pushing for the passage of the CLARITY Act is a core goal of the industry, but the bill has stalled in this Congress. JPMorgan analysts indicate that without the bill, rules set by regulators during Trump's term may be overturned by subsequent administrations.

first_img Kuaishou launched an independent entry point "Interactive Content World"

According to "Du Jia," the Kuaishou App has officially launched an independent platform and entry called "Kuaishou Interactive Content World." Most of the light interactive works on the platform are produced using Vibe Coding, allowing creators to describe their ideas in natural language, with AI generating code and quickly iterating demos, enabling the creation of interactive narratives and simulation mini-games that can be launched without mastering complex programming."Du Jia" states that this entry is separate from the conventional short video information flow and serves as an independent container specifically for interactive content. The homepage displays works in a card format, divided into popular and latest sections, with examples including the AI interactive narrative "Odyssey: Choices," as well as short gameplay like Marble Challenge and Gravity Slingshot. For instance, in "The Fisherman Never Goes Empty," users can complete actions such as casting a line, waiting for a bite, and reeling in, while utilizing features like the side mall, encyclopedia, and achievements. The report mentions that personal pages will retain access records, with each interactive content labeled with the creator ID and browsing data. Douyin's interactive space and interest cards, Bilibili's Toy, Xiaohongshu's RED Skill, and Hongguo's short drama parallel world have previously entered the market. Kuaishou has adopted an independent homepage and personal center loop, with the article noting that the platform is still in its early stages, with a relatively small content pool and fewer categories.

The SEC's conditions for tokenized securities exemptions have sparked disagreements, with the industry calling for clarification on the "public and permissionless" standard

The innovation exemption for tokenized securities trading venues launched by the U.S. SEC in September is sparking controversy within the industry regarding blockchain qualification standards. This exemption allows eligible companies to trade tokenized U.S. stocks without registering as traditional securities exchanges, but requires their smart contracts to be auditable, public, and deployed on a public, permissionless blockchain.Currently, three companies have submitted operational intent notices to the SEC. TSV LLC plans to use the privacy-focused Canton Network; OKXICE and Kephas Corp. intend to utilize their respective enterprise group's developed Ethereum Layer 2 networks. In a letter submitted on Thursday, the Solana Policy Institute requested the SEC to tighten the definition of "permissionless," focusing on who actually controls the blockchain, including who can validate or block transactions and modify network rules. Hedera advocates for an expansion of the exemption's scope, arguing that only authorized entities should participate in validation, which should not disqualify their network. The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) also called for clarification on which blockchains are eligible and questioned whether stock tokenization should require explicit prior consent from the issuing company, rather than requiring companies to opt out. The financial regulatory advocacy group Better Markets urged the SEC to withdraw the exemption and instead engage in formal rulemaking. An SEC official stated that companies can begin operations 30 days after submitting a notice, provided they meet the exemption criteria, without waiting for SEC approval, which does not imply SEC endorsement of their chosen blockchain. The official noted that the regulatory agency intends to maintain a broad definition to allow space for companies to experiment; further frequently asked questions may be released, but substantive adjustments would require action from the commission.Meanwhile, more companies are opposing the tokenization of their stocks. As of Friday, among the 62 companies initially listed by OKXICE, 22 have raised objections, exceeding one-third. New objectors include Wells Fargo, Arm, and Intuit.
