first_img On-chain infrastructure company KR1 purchased 5,000 TAO and initiated Bittensor staking

On October 29, KR1 plc, a company listed on the main board of the London Stock Exchange that focuses on on-chain infrastructure, announced the launch of its technical infrastructure operations on the decentralized artificial intelligence network Bittensor. The company stated that it has recently acquired 5,000 network-native assets TAO and has initiated staking as part of its technical infrastructure strategy. Based on the reward rate observed on October 28, the company estimates that the annualized infrastructure income is approximately equivalent to 6.6% of the current value of the deployed TAO holdings. The announcement stated that Bittensor is a layer blockchain that supports subnets, covering services such as AI inference, computing power, training, and prediction, where independent suppliers compete for network rewards based on performance. KR1 supports the assessment of service provider performance through staking and receives a portion of the network rewards. There is no mandatory unbonding period for TAO unstaking, allowing the company to retrieve its holdings immediately after unstaking. Rewards can be retained to expand the scale of productive assets or can be liquidated for subsequent investments and operational costs. The company will also disclose its TAO holdings and related infrastructure income in monthly unaudited updates.Keld van Schreven, Managing Director and Co-Founder of KR1, stated: "As artificial intelligence enables more complex tasks to be performed by software, the demand for infrastructure related to supply-side intelligence is expected to grow significantly. Bittensor introduces open competition for the supply of AI services, and the company is focused on how its incentives are forming services that lead to continuous customer payments, as well as how to deploy TAO holdings to enhance the value and income potential of productive digital assets per share." KR1 claims to be the only publicly listed company on the main board of the London Stock Exchange that focuses on on-chain infrastructure, holding and operating productive digital assets on the relevant network.

According to a report from the Beijing Daily client, the Market Supervision Administration of Haidian District, Beijing, investigated and handled the city's first illegal case of assisting pyramid schemes using blockchain and virtual currency technology, resulting in a technology company being fined and confiscated a total of over 930,000 yuan. The technology company involved is an outsourcing service provider for a certain public blockchain, offering support such as operations, market services, publicity and promotion, exchange docking, and maintenance. Hackers claim to have leaked information of over 40,000 employees from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security through Okta, and DDoSecrets has made it public

According to TechCrunch, a hacker claiming to be from the "Department of Peace" has reportedly obtained a large amount of employee data from the Okta single sign-on system used by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which was publicly released on Wednesday by the data transparency organization Distributed Denial of Secrets (DDoSecrets) as the "Icepick" dataset. The leaked records exceed 40,000, accounting for about one-fifth of DHS's approximately 220,000 employees, involving names, positions, work emails, phone numbers, and office locations, along with information related to internal system permissions. Among these, approximately 21,000 records belong to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel, while about 10,000 records involve the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and its Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), with nearly 1,000 related to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).TechCrunch stated that it has verified the authenticity of some of the data, with timestamps indicating that the data was exported around mid-August. The hacker also provided the data to journalist and hacker maia arson crimew, who then forwarded it to DDoSecrets. Okta responded that its systems and data were not breached; a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security has not yet responded to requests for comment. The report indicates that this is the third incident of data leakage from the U.S. government that has drawn attention in the past month, following the theft of Federal Bureau of Investigation personnel files and Pentagon personnel data.

Prince Group Joint Temporary Liquidators: Chinese victims may be able to file claims, over 90,000 BTC has flowed through related entities

As the "leader" of the Prince Group of Cambodia, Chen Zhi has been apprehended, prompting various judicial jurisdictions to initiate the disposal of assets related to the Prince Group. Local courts have appointed Joint Provisional Liquidators (JPLs) to investigate and preserve the corresponding assets surrounding the 30 British Virgin Islands (BVI) entities actually controlled by Chen Zhi. The bankruptcy proceedings in the British Virgin Islands are collective in nature, and the eligibility for creditor claims is not determined by nationality or jurisdiction; potential victims from any jurisdiction can file claims, which means that victims of online fraud and gambling from China can also submit claims at some point in the future. It is reported that the liquidation list includes 30 BVI companies, including Prince Global Group Ltd, most of which are actually controlled by Chen Zhi, while only 28 BVI companies are listed on the U.S. Treasury's sanctions list. Furthermore, "the scope of liquidation is not solely determined by sanctions," as two companies not sanctioned but included in the liquidation list, Amber Hill Ventures Limited ("AHV") and Lateral Bridge Global Limited ("LBG"), have been mentioned in U.S. judicial proceedings and are considered entities within the widely associated network of the Prince Group, accused of having no other practical use besides participating in money laundering. The prosecution claims that of the more than 120,000 bitcoins confiscated in the U.S., over 90,000 flowed through AHV, LBG, and another company registered in the Cayman Islands, Future Technology Investment; among them, the chairman and shareholder of AHV is Fan Yang, and the chairman and shareholder of LBG is Minyi Tang, who are referred to in the U.S. indictment as "Co-conspirator 6" and "Co-conspirator 7," respectively. Regarding the claims of victims of online fraud and gambling, a claims filing and distribution process has not yet been established. If a liquidation process is initiated in the future and there are sufficient funds to support distributions to creditors, the liquidators will establish a claims process, adjudicate claims, and make distributions in accordance with the British Virgin Islands bankruptcy law.
