first_img Samsung Electronics is developing AI glasses with a display, expected to be released in the second half of 2027 at the earliest

According to the Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily, Samsung Electronics has begun developing its first AI glasses equipped with a display. This product not only provides audio functionality but also displays colorful visual information on the lenses, similar to the Meta Ray-Ban Display smart glasses.Industry insiders revealed that Samsung Electronics is considering developing an ultra-small screen with a size of only 0.2 inches or smaller for the AI glasses, and last month assigned this R&D task to Samsung Display, outlining requirements regarding product dimensions, information display area, color, and price. Samsung Electronics is currently evaluating candidate panel solutions such as OLEDoS or LEDoS, and the industry expects this product to be released in the second half of 2027 or the first half of 2028.Currently, the specific details of the glasses have not been finalized. In terms of color display, Samsung Electronics is expected to use a limited grayscale with 4-bit color instead of a high-definition screen, and it has not yet decided whether to adopt a binocular or monocular design. Industry insiders indicate that RGB OLEDoS faces challenges in terms of price and yield, and it is likely that a white OLEDoS panel will be launched. Samsung previously released AI glasses without a display, co-developed by Samsung Electronics, Google, Gentle Monster, and Warby Parker.

Douyin internal testing AI workshop, the recommendation page adds interest card display for AI applications

Douyin is currently conducting an internal test of the AI Workshop, aimed at ordinary creators and developers, providing a complete link from AI application building, debugging, and operation to platform distribution, deeply integrating with Douyin's internal traffic system. The AI development framework, interface capabilities, and cloud storage services are all built into the creator's backend. The Douyin App's recommendation page has added a new content form interest card, used to showcase AI applications created in the AI Workshop. Users can directly interact with these cards while browsing the recommendation page, without needing to switch to a mini-program or leave the main app, allowing them to complete Q&A queries, fun interactions, and light tool experiences within the information flow. The interest card relies on Douyin's personalized recommendation distribution, supporting custom gameplay and styles.Creators who do not understand coding can use natural language to describe their ideas for building, while technically skilled developers can modify underlying files for deep customization. Debugging, real-device preview, and publishing can all be completed in the same environment. The produced works can be directly converted into interest cards for placement in the recommendation stream. This product is currently in the invitation-only internal testing phase.

first_img The dispute over AMC tokenized stocks is spreading, with intense debates in the industry about three issuance models

According to The Defiant, the dispute between AMC Entertainment CEO Adam Aron and Robinhood over tokenized AMC stock has escalated into a debate among tokenized stock issuers about which model should become the industry standard.Gabriel Otte, co-founder of Dinari, criticized Robinhood's synthetic tokens with Ondo as "worse for end investors than regular stocks," while Uniswap founder Hayden Adams compared it to early stablecoins, stating that it meets users' demands for programmability and 24/7 trading.Currently, three models are competing in the $2.91 billion tokenized stock market: Robinhood's stock tokens are debt securities issued by a Jersey entity, available only to non-U.S. persons; Ondo, xStocks, and Dinari hold the underlying stocks through regulated intermediaries and pass on economic benefits; Securitize and Superstate directly put company-registered stocks on-chain. The U.S. SEC's Division of Corporation Finance has legally defined the three models as of January 28. Data from rwa.xyz shows that the total scale of tokenized stocks reaches $2.91 billion, with a 14.4% growth over 30 days, and Ondo leads with $869.6 million.Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo also supports Aron's position, stating that he does not wish for others to create offshore derivatives of company stocks. Brian Huang, co-founder of Glider, believes that the trading venue is more important than the packaging format, as AMMs cannot guarantee users the best execution.

first_img Sun Yuchen wins court support in WLFI dispute, personal claims to be publicly heard

Sun Yuchen stated that his lawyer recently appeared in federal court in California to oppose World Liberty Financial (@worldlibertyfi)'s request to force the dispute into confidential arbitration and seal documents. The court ruled that all of Sun Yuchen's personal claims will continue to be heard in open court; at the same time, it rejected the suggestion to submit all company-related claims to arbitration and required both parties to negotiate which claims will remain in court and which will go to arbitration. Sun Yuchen called this a significant victory, emphasizing that token holders have the right to know how the project treats its trusters.Sun Yuchen stated that as one of the earliest and largest investors in World Liberty, he invested $45 million to obtain $WLFI tokens. The lawsuit alleges that after this investment helped raise approximately $550 million in token sales, the project secretly embedded a backdoor in the smart contract that could unilaterally freeze, restrict, or destroy token holders' tokens, and based on this, illegally seized his tokens, even threatening him with criminal reports during his rights protection efforts. The lawsuit claims damages amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars. He has previously obtained a court injunction prohibiting the other party from destroying or disposing of his tokens.Sun Yuchen also stated that World Liberty similarly embedded backdoor capabilities in its USD1 stablecoin and mentioned that the project had pledged a large amount of $WLFI tokens as collateral in Dolomite lending, as well as public information regarding co-founder past lawsuits related to Dough Finance, expressing concerns about the project's solvency and transparency, urging investors to conduct their own due diligence and remain cautious. The above content is all his unilateral statements and accusations.

The CFTC warns that event contract markets have an obligation to display clear and accurate derivative pricing information

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) issued a notice reminding regulated entities involved in the listing, promotion, or acceptance of event contracts to ensure that consumers are provided with clear and accurate product pricing information, avoiding misleading market participants, including the obligation to display clear and accurate derivative pricing information. The CFTC's Market Oversight and Market Participants divisions stated that registered entities and relevant personnel must comply with regulatory requirements, ensuring that users fully understand the product attributes in the CFTC-regulated market, and strengthen the supervision of information disclosure by intermediaries, related parties, and partners. It was also specifically pointed out that displaying event contract prices using the common "American odds format" may mislead traders' understanding of the product nature and prevent users from fully obtaining key trading information such as market depth and price impact. The CFTC requires that market participants clearly show consumers that the products are event contracts on CFTC-regulated exchanges, and any misleading pricing display behavior related to regulated products may violate relevant provisions of U.S. federal law regarding the prohibition of manipulative trading practices.
