first_img TrendForce: Apple’s foldable device shipments in the first year are approximately 5 million units

According to TrendForce, Apple's first foldable phone, iPhone Duo, has been available for pre-order for less than a week, and some orders on the official website have already been delayed until January 2027. TrendForce estimates that global shipments of foldable phones will see a slight increase of 0.5% in 2026, with Apple’s first foldable iPhone expected to ship around 5 million units, capturing approximately 24.8% market share in its first year, and Apple's entry will accelerate the redistribution of brand market share.Initial user feedback shows that the split-screen operation and screen experience after unfolding have been positively received, while the black edges of apps, button configuration, and fingerprint unlocking have increased adaptation costs. Reports of screen damage and high repair quotes have shifted the focus to reliability and ownership costs. TrendForce states that the visibility of creases on the iPhone Duo is relatively low, which is related to multi-layer material stress control and nano-texture optical optimization; the droplet-shaped hinge bears dynamic control, and insufficient retreat of the central support can lead to additional contact and stress concentration.Apple has provided replacements for a small number of devices with abnormal inner screens, and subsequent engineering improvements are expected to focus on hinge travel, support height, fitting precision, and assembly tolerances. On the software side, some apps still have black edges and insufficient space utilization, and the large screen has also increased energy consumption management requirements. TrendForce believes that Apple's advantage lies in the integration of chips, systems, and developer ecosystems, with competition shifting from design innovation to multi-tasking efficiency.

Prince Group Joint Temporary Liquidators: Chinese victims may be able to file claims, over 90,000 BTC has flowed through related entities

As the "leader" of the Prince Group of Cambodia, Chen Zhi has been apprehended, prompting various judicial jurisdictions to initiate the disposal of assets related to the Prince Group. Local courts have appointed Joint Provisional Liquidators (JPLs) to investigate and preserve the corresponding assets surrounding the 30 British Virgin Islands (BVI) entities actually controlled by Chen Zhi. The bankruptcy proceedings in the British Virgin Islands are collective in nature, and the eligibility for creditor claims is not determined by nationality or jurisdiction; potential victims from any jurisdiction can file claims, which means that victims of online fraud and gambling from China can also submit claims at some point in the future. It is reported that the liquidation list includes 30 BVI companies, including Prince Global Group Ltd, most of which are actually controlled by Chen Zhi, while only 28 BVI companies are listed on the U.S. Treasury's sanctions list. Furthermore, "the scope of liquidation is not solely determined by sanctions," as two companies not sanctioned but included in the liquidation list, Amber Hill Ventures Limited ("AHV") and Lateral Bridge Global Limited ("LBG"), have been mentioned in U.S. judicial proceedings and are considered entities within the widely associated network of the Prince Group, accused of having no other practical use besides participating in money laundering. The prosecution claims that of the more than 120,000 bitcoins confiscated in the U.S., over 90,000 flowed through AHV, LBG, and another company registered in the Cayman Islands, Future Technology Investment; among them, the chairman and shareholder of AHV is Fan Yang, and the chairman and shareholder of LBG is Minyi Tang, who are referred to in the U.S. indictment as "Co-conspirator 6" and "Co-conspirator 7," respectively. Regarding the claims of victims of online fraud and gambling, a claims filing and distribution process has not yet been established. If a liquidation process is initiated in the future and there are sufficient funds to support distributions to creditors, the liquidators will establish a claims process, adjudicate claims, and make distributions in accordance with the British Virgin Islands bankruptcy law.

Slow Fog: Udesk customer service script was implanted with malicious code that can steal user session data and replace recharge addresses

According to Slow Fog's disclosure, its security personnel discovered that the script udeskApi.2026-10-16.cached.js related to the Udesk customer service system was implanted with a malicious loader during routine threat intelligence checks. This loader hides the address through hexadecimal encoding and asynchronously loads the remote script deeps.js (sourced from udeskqlobal[.]com, note that the domain name starts with the letter q). This script reads accessible Cookies, localStorage, and sessionStorage on the page, intercepts form and login/authentication requests, and sends data to udeskqlobal[.]com/c.php. Attackers may use this to impersonate sessions or take over accounts. This data collection behavior is not restricted by the target site's rules, and unmatched pages may also be affected.According to Slow Fog's analysis, this script also targets three types of sites: mgbx[.]com, bikingex[.], and bitxex[.]io, scanning the recharge page every 200 milliseconds and replacing identified recharge addresses with preset BTC, EVM, TRON, Solana, LTC, and DOGE addresses. At the same time, the script manipulates the clipboard API, replaces copy buttons, and intercepts copy events, making users see and copy tampered addresses. If users transfer funds to this address, the money will flow into the attacker's address.
